Synopsis: This course is designed for those people who make occasional use of a spreadsheet package and who wish to take advantage of some of the many facilities which live in this industry-standard package. By the end of this short session you should be able to -
- Undertake simple calculations
- Sort a simple list
- Copy figures and formulae
- Create and carry forward totals
- Manipulate ‘what if?’ statements
- Calculate balances
- Freeze areas of the screen
- Produce simple charts and graphs
- Create a set of home accounts for yourself
- Save your work and take it home - if you bring a data stick - or you can email it to yourself

Speaker: Sue Boucher BA. Sue currently works as a Visiting Lecturer at Westminster University. Previously work an IT Consultant specialising in Relational Databases. Specialist areas are membership databases (trade association, political party), and insurance systems (premium charging and claims).
